Sepik Phallacy - Super Carved - "The Last Batch" #4
One of my favorite Tiki mugs that I've been making for the past few years is coming to an end.
Up for sale is #4/8 in "The Last Batch."
The mold has been broken and is long gone.
In the this super carved version, all the detail on the edge of the headdress is erased, and this pattern is carved in it's place.
A few other details about these beauties.
*the beads are made custom to match the piece and are probably the most labor intense part about making these. If you look at the dot patterns, they all have 3-4 layers.
*the shells are real and are covered in grout to give them their weathered look.
*I don't remember woodgrain carving these, but there might be a couple out there.
**I don't think this is the most functional drinking vessel because of the jute, but the interior glaze is foodsafe. Just wanted to throw that out there:)
Stands about 9.75" tall and measures 5" across the beads and about 8" across the jute, depending on how puffy it's feeling.
