Up for sale is one of the first designs in my PNG shield mug series.
Each one of these started as a 2lb ball of clay that I threw on the potter’s wheel and altered into a “squarish” form by pushing out from the inside with a wooden dowel. From there, all four sides are carved freehand without the use of any stamps or stencils. I don’t use any measuring devices except for a kitchen scale to weigh the initial ball of clay, so the pieces will vary slightly in height and with. Approximate measurements for each piece will be listed below, so please be sure to read the entire listing.
I’ve decided to name this design, “The Happy Dancer,” so I hope it’s smile and playful spirit bring a bit of joy to your Tiki mug collection, and a smile to your face.
This turquoise, yellow, and red version stands approximately 7.5” tall and 4.5” across diagonally, at the widest point.
