Hello everyone, thank you very much for stopping by my online store.
Up for sale is the elusive, Sepik Phallacy mask mug.
The vessel was thrown on the potter’s wheel and the mask was press molded and added while the clay was still wet, then hand carved and detailed from there.
The beads are rolled and carved from the same claybody as the vessel, and the shells are weathered with a black grout and secured with a silicone adhesive.
While I might make others in this color combo, each one is unique.
* 7.25” tall x 4” wide across the top of the cup, 6-7” wide across the jute twine, 4.5” deep from the front of the mask to the back of the cup.
